Overview
Darwin Evolution is an all-in-one digital platform that enables end-to-end supply-chain traceability, regulatory compliance (FSMA 204, EUDR) and operational efficiency through data capture, blockchain-based traceability and Digital Product Passports.
I joined the company as the sole UI/UX Designer during a critical moment: the team needed to rebuild the product experience, fix usability issues and launch an MVP to market in record time.
I led the complete design evolution of the platform, from foundational UX decisions to a scalable design system that supported rapid development and future growth.
Context & Challenge
Darwin needed to:
Launch a functional MVP quickly to validate the product in the market
Replace an inconsistent and fragmented UI that slowed development
Support complex compliance workflows (FSMA 204, EUDR, DPP)
Handle highly structured, data-heavy operations with minimal error margin
Align distributed teams across LATAM, Brazil and international stakeholders
The challenge: design a complex B2B platform that balances regulatory rigor, usability, speed and scalability.
My Role
I worked full-time as the only UI/UX Designer, owning the product end-to-end.

Responsibilities
Led all product design efforts from MVP to continuous evolution
Redesigned core workflows and fixed usability issues from the previous version
Built the entire Design System in Figma from scratch
Defined UI patterns for complex tables, forms, validations and compliance flows
Designed and iterated core modules across multiple products
Presented demos, supported product decisions and aligned roadmap priorities
Collaborated daily with engineering and product teams in Spanish
Communicated with stakeholders and clients in Portuguese and English
This role significantly strengthened my ability to work across languages and cultures while maintaining design quality and delivery speed.
